“Welcome to My Journey:
A Single Parent with a Disability Finds a New Voice Through Blogging”
*Introduction:*
Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Rosalie, and I’m a single parent living with a disability. For the past 12 years, I’ve dedicated myself to providing childcare, and more recently, I completed my training as a Pharmacy Assistant in British Columbia, Canada. Despite my hard work and determination, I’ve faced challenges in securing a job in my field. But I refuse to let that define me. Instead, I’ve decided to take a new path – blogging.
*My Story:*
As a single parent, I’ve learned to be resilient and resourceful. Raising my children on my own has been the most rewarding experience of my life, but it’s also come with its fair share of challenges. Adding a disability to the mix has meant finding creative ways to adapt and overcome. Despite these obstacles, I’ve always been driven to succeed.
For 12 years, I’ve worked as a childcare provider, nurturing and caring for young minds. It’s been a privilege to watch them grow and thrive. But as my own children grew older, I knew it was time for a change. I pursued a new dream – becoming a Pharmacy Assistant. Completing my training was a huge accomplishment, but the job market has been tough. Rejection after rejection has left me feeling discouraged, but not defeated.
*Why Blogging?*
So why blogging? For me, it’s about finding a new voice, a new platform to share my experiences, and a new way to connect with others. As a single parent with a disability, I know I’m not alone. There are countless others out there facing similar challenges, and I want to reach out and say, “You’re not alone.” Through this blog, I hope to share my story, offer support and encouragement, and build a community of like-minded individuals.
*What to Expect:*
On this blog, you can expect to find a mix of personal stories, reflections, and insights. I’ll share my experiences as a single parent, my journey with disability, and my adventures in blogging. I’ll also share tips, resources, and advice on topics like childcare, parenting, and accessibility. My goal is to create a space where we can connect, share, and grow together.
*Join Me:*
If you’re a fellow single parent, someone living with a disability, or simply someone looking for a supportive community, I invite you to join me on this journey. Subscribe to my blog, follow me on social media, and let’s connect. Together, we can build a community that lifts each other up and celebrates our unique voices.
Thank you for reading, and I look forward to sharing more of my story with you.
ROSALIE
